At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping experiences for our guests.THE JOB:As a Sushi Cook at Tekka Bar, you will be responsible preparing sushi and other Japanese dishes. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. THE STARTING RATE: $25.5229 plus tipsTHE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Apply advance knife skills required for making sushi and other Japanese dishes
• Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail of plate presentation
• Ensure food quality is superior and correct any irregularities
• Conduct inventory on a regular basis of specified food items and proper par levels
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning as well as cleanliness and sanitation of assigned work areas
• Follow recipes according to Chef specifications
• Notify Room Chef or Sous Chef of challenges that arise and how they have been corrected
• Assist with pantry and preparation areasTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • One year sushi making experience
  • Strong knife skills, with emphasis on fish butchery
  • Experience with seafood
  • Customer service skills
