Data Scientist needed!

We?re looking for a passionate data analyst with strong communication skills and the desire to translate their ideas into practical solutions! If you are obsessed with data and using it to improve business processes and identify new opportunities then this role is for you.

Day to day work is always interesting, and rarely the same. You may find yourself analyzing web or call center conversion funnels, auction systems, supply and demand scenarios, media optimization, direct marketing modeling for both email and regular mail, personalization, lifetime-value, time series forecasting, website optimization, dashboarding, scoring and report carding, revenue optimization, consumer engagement and segmentation, dynamic pricing and plain old A/B testing? and that?s just scratching the surface.

Key Responsibilities

? On a day-to-day basis you will continue to hone your analytical skills using SAS. We use SAS - a lot - so the majority of your time will be spent in that. If you don?t have SAS experience but you do have a proven ability to produce results using similar tools; and the ability and desire to learn new tools quickly then that?s ok too!

? Provide decision-support to managers and executives by extracting data, creating reports, running queries, building predictive models ? really doing whatever it takes ? to support the business?s analytical needs.

? Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to measure and communicate the effectiveness of different forms of advertising

? Provide data-driven insights about consumer behavior from media advertising

? Design, analyze, and interpret the results of experiments.

? Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions

? Maintain and improve our existing reports and processes

? Measure the success of customer acquisition, expansion, and retention initiatives

? Build customer segmentations that can be used to drive outbound and inbound marketing decisions

? Develop scorecards, dashboards, and forecasts for a variety of marketing channels

? Become the "go to" expert for all things analytics

Minimum Qualifications:

? 3 years experience in a related field ? or - a bachelor?s degree in a technical field such as engineering, math/statistics, information systems and/or computer science.

? Strong programming skills and an understanding of statistical analysis. Experience with packages such as SAS, R, MATLAB, SPSS, Stata, etc. ideal.

? Working experience writing SQL queries.

? The desire to solve new and intriguing problems everyday

We Love to See:

? Demonstrated history of solving analytical problems with quantitative methods

? Comfortable when fitting intricate business knowledge to complex data sourced from a variety of platforms

? Enthusiasm to answer hard questions with empirical data while still allowing for results at varying levels of precision

? Apply statistical, modeling, and data mining techniques to real world problems

? Adept at packaging complex results for audiences with varying levels of sophistication

? Experience working with Big Data. We collect a LOT of data. If you are familiar with distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.) then that?s a bonus!

? Web development skills (SAS/Intrnet, DHTML, Javascript, JSP/PHP, Ajax) are a plus.

? Excellent Excel skills
