Job Description:

We are looking for a Avaya Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience to lead the design, development, and optimization of complex telephony solutions using the Avaya suite (including Avaya Aura, Avaya Communication Manager, and Avaya IVR). The successful candidate will play a critical role in the development, integration, and maintenance of advanced call center technologies and telephony systems, ensuring they meet business needs, enhance customer experience, and support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Architecture:

Lead the design and development of Avaya-based communication solutions for large-scale call centers, including IVR (Interactive Voice Response) applications, call routing, and CTI (Computer Telephony Integration).


Architect call flow designs and advanced vector programming for seamless call routing and customer experience optimization.


Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and IT teams to align business requirements with technical solutions.




System Development and Integration:

Develop and implement customized Avaya solutions using Avaya Communication Manager (ACM), Avaya Aura, and Avaya IVR.


Integrate Avaya telephony systems with third-party applications, such as CRMs, databases, and workforce management systems, ensuring seamless data flow and enhanced customer service.


Utilize VXML, Java, and other scripting languages for IVR system development.




System Optimization & Troubleshooting:

Monitor, optimize, and maintain the performance of Avaya platforms to ensure maximum uptime, reliability, and performance.


Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to telephony systems, including voice quality, call routing, and IVR functionality.


Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide advanced support to ensure the smooth operation of telephony infrastructure.




Leadership & Mentorship:

Lead and mentor a team of junior developers and engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.


Oversee the implementation of new features, updates, and system enhancements.


Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards in all telephony development processes.




Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

Work closely with network engineers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure that Avaya telephony systems are properly integrated with other enterprise solutions.


Collaborate with business teams to identify opportunities for improving call center operations through advanced telephony features and integrations.




Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, call flow designs, scripts, and troubleshooting procedures.


Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management on the status of projects and system performance.


Document system requirements, changes, and customizations to ensure traceability and compliance.




Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Avaya technology and telephony solutions, ensuring the organization leverages the best available tools.


Implement innovative solutions to improve telephony performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.
